Western United Football Club sign Croatian midfielder Dario Jertec
Western United Football Club (WUFC) confirms the signing of experienced Croatian midfielder Dario Jertec for the 2019/20 Hyundai A-League season.
Jertec has spent the majority of his career in his native country, including stints at Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split.
Jertec has also represented his country at youth level, having been capped eight times for Croatia Under-21’s.
WUFC Head Coach, Mark Rudan was thrilled to have Jertec on board.
“We believe Dario will bring added quality, experience and leadership to our football team,” Rudan said.
“We look forward to seeing Dario challenge himself and his teammates as we create competition for places across the park.”
Jertec becomes United’s fourth international signing, joining Alessandro Diamanti, Panagiotis Kone and Filip Kurto.
WUFC head to Ballarat on the 21st of September where they will take on Adelaide United, before facing reigning A-League champions Sydney FC on the 27th.
The club will join the Hyundai A-League from the start of the 2019/20 season beginning in October this year.
