Western United players Brendan Hamill and Aaron Calver both were injured during the club’s Round 12 Hyundai A-League clash with Wellington Phoenix last weekend.
The club can confirm that Hamill has a full-thickness left Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rupture.
This is a season-ending injury for the 27-year-old central defender.
Calver, 23 has a fractured right fifth metatarsal in his foot.
The in-form defender had an operation to stabilize the fracture.
