Western United will receive a huge boost in the Ninja A-League Women this weekend with Chloe Logarzo set to make her return.
The Green and Black captain missed last week’s thrilling win over Sydney FC due to a concussion she suffered while on Matildas duty but has now completed her return to play and is ready to lead the team out against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.
Catherine Zimmerman also features in the extended squad having been absent last time out with a hamstring injury, with the American attacker hoping to be passed fit to play.
Kat Smith’s side will be looking to build on a superb result against the reigning champions and carry that momentum into Saturday’s clash.
It will be the Isuzu UTE A-League Men squad’s turn to face Sydney FC this time around and John Aloisi is able to name an identical 20-man extended squad from last week’s draw with Macarthur FC.
Abel Walatee impressed in his first start of the season against the Bulls and will be fighting to keep his place ahead of the likes of Matthew Grimaldi and Ramy Najjarine.
With Ben Garuccio still sidelined with a calf complaint, Charbel Shamoon continues to impress at left-back as part of a young defensive core also featuring Dylan Leonard.
Hiroshi Ibusuki will be hoping for a happy return to Allianz Stadium after he hit a brace at the same arena in United’s win over Perth Glory during Unite Round.
