Western United Football Club can confirm one of its Isuzu Ute A-League Men’s players has tested positive for Covid-19.
The fully vaccinated person began to show mild symptoms on Monday evening, tested positive to a Rapid Antigen Test before returning a positive PCR test on Wednesday.
All Western United football staff and the playing group have followed APL protocols including daily Rapid Antigen Tests and have since all returned precautionary negative PCR test results.
The health and safety of our club personnel and our members remains our top priority and we are pleased our cautious processes and procedures have prevented further spread within the club.
