Western United is pleased to announce it has re-signed midfielder Luke Duzel for two more seasons, keeping him at the Club until at least the end of the 2022/23 A-League campaign.

“I’m very humbled and excited to sign on for a further two years at this fantastic club,” Duzel said.

“Everyone here has supported and believed in me since the day I arrived at the Club.

“I had a good run of games this past season and would like to build on that and perform at a higher level.

“This club means a lot to me as I grew up in the West of Melbourne and I’d like to win as many games as possible next year and hopefully win some silverware for the club and our loyal supporters.”

Duzel joined United at the beginning of the 2019/20 A-League season, signing on as a scholarship player, before extending his deal by another year in 2020.

The 19-year-old played the most football of his senior career this past season, making 13 appearances including eight starts.

Western United Head of Football Operations, Mal Impiombato said: “Luke is a technically gifted footballer and has shown great development over his period at the Club. We are excited to work with Luke for another two seasons and provide him the platform to take his game to the next level.”
