Western United is pleased to announce the re-signing of talented attacker Nicolas Milanovic, who has extended his deal with the club for two more seasons.
The deal will see the 19-year-old remain at United until at least the end of the 2022/23 A-League season.
“To sign on with Western United for another two seasons is just a privilege,” Milanovic said.
“To this day I’ve always been thankful to the club, to Chris [Pehlivanis], to the boss [Mark Rudan], the board for giving me the opportunity.
“I’ve learned a lot from being here at the club for the past year and a bit.
“I’ve got superstars with me to improve my game and to look up to like Diamanti and Berisha, those players who have the experience.
“The culture here is good – we’ve been talking about ‘good to great’ and I think we’re all buying into it.
“Hopefully not only this year but for the next two seasons the culture is going to be bigger and better.”
Milanovic joined the club towards the end of the 2019/20 season, before being part of the squad that spent over a month in the Sydney hub.
He has featured nine times during the current A-League campaign, coming off the bench in every one of his appearances.
Milanovic has dominated at NPL level, scoring six goals in the club’s nine-game unbeaten run to start the season.
United Head Coach Mark Rudan said: “Nicolas is yet another young player that’s been rewarded with an extension as he has worked hard in our environment, has grown and improved over the last 12 months.
“We look forward to continuing his development to ensure he gets the best out of himself.”
