Western United will add another page to its ever-growing history on Sunday 16 April when it plays in the Liberty A-League Women Finals Series for the first time.

United will renew hostilities with Sydney FC in the Semi Final at Allianz Stadium kicking off at 5:45pm AEST with the winner set to go straight through to the Grand Final on Sunday April 30.

Tickets are on sale now as part of a Sydney FC double header on the day, while United fans staying at home can support the team by watching on 10 Play or Paramount+, as has been the case for the whole season.

Western United fans travelling to Sydney can purchase a ticket for solely the Semi Final at the Allianz Stadium box office on the day.

Mark Torcaso’s Western United team will approach the game on a high after a strong 2-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers in the final match of the regular season.

Two goals from Hannah Keane ensured the American star took out the Golden Boot award as the league’s top scorer, and the No.9 will be out to add to her 13 goals with plenty more throughout the Finals Series.

United met Sydney FC twice in the regular season, with each team picking up one victory against the other across the two meetings.

The first clash ended in a 2-0 win for Western United thanks to another Keane brace, at the time leaving the Green and Black top of the league with a perfect seven wins from seven at the start of the season.

Sydney exacted their revenge last time out, however, claiming a 3-0 win in Sydney at the beginning of March.

That sets up a mouth-watering third instalment as the competition’s two best teams battle it out for a shot at the Liberty A-League Championship.

Western United has already made history in its inaugural Liberty A-League season and now Torcaso, his staff and his players will dare to dream of further success.
