Western United will have a pair of Ninja A-League Women stars in the upcoming Matildas squad with Chloe Lincoln and Chloe Logarzo both being called into camp.

In a busy window for the Matildas, Tom Sermanni’s side will play four matches within nine days with two games against Brazil in Queensland followed by a pair of contests against Chinese Taipei in Victoria.

After receiving her first-ever Matildas call-up last month, Lincoln will join the squad for the entire camp while Logarzo will link up with the team for the two games in Victoria, returning to the national team for the first time since February.

While yet to make her Western United debut, Lincoln continues to show her quality and has been able to cement her place in the side for successive camps.

Logarzo has made an excellent start to the 2024/25 Ninja A-League season, scoring twice in the opening round and looking to pick up from where she left off last season.

Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato hailed having two players in the Matildas squad as a remarkable achievement for the Club, as well as for each individual.

“As a football club, we are incredibly proud of our ability to provide a platform for our female footballers to reach the pinnacle of the game in earning selection for the Matildas,” he said.

“After her first camp last month, Chloe Lincoln has clearly shown her superb quality and professionalism and we are delighted to see her receive another opportunity so quickly.

“We are equally proud of Chloe Logarzo and the journey that she has been on in her career, and we are extremely pleased to continue playing a role in her maintaining elite standards and performing at the highest level.

“Everyone at Western United congratulates both players on their achievements, and we are greatly looking forward to seeing them both on home soil in Melbourne.”

With two big matches in the Ninja A-League against Melbourne Victory and Newcastle Jets to come before the international window, Lincoln and Logarzo will be eager to carry a strong run of form in Matildas camp.
