Western United Strapit ALM Injury Update: November 2024

James Donachie Western United A-League Men

Western United can provide an injury update on Isuzu UTE A-League Men defender James Donachie and the remainder of the squad, presented by Strapit Medical & Sports Supplies.

Donachie has missed both of United’s last two fixtures due to a calf injury, with scans revealing the extent of the issue.

The defender underwent successful surgery last week and is expected to miss an extended period of football as he undergoes rehabilitation.

Everyone at Western United will be behind James as he works on returning to the pitch as soon as possible.

In more positive injury news, Ben Garuccio is approaching availability for John Aloisi’s side.

Garuccio has missed United’s start to the season with a groin problem and will look to be in contention to take on Adelaide United on Saturday night.

Ramy Najjarine is also working towards a return to the pitch after an unfortunate run of injuries since joining the Green and Black in 2023.

The No.7 is stepping up his workload and will be a welcome boost to the Green and Black once he is able to feature again.

Elsewhere, Khoder Kaddour remains the only long-term absentee in United’s squad as he continues to rehabilitate the ACL injury he suffered in mid-April.

The young full-back, who signed his first-ever professional deal over the off-season, is stepping up his fitness program on the pitch and will continue to target a return to play in 2025.

The remainder of the Western United squad is fit and looking to build on the start to the campaign with an away trip to face Adelaide United on Saturday before the international break.
