Western United Injury Update A-League Men A-League Women Alana Cerne Abel Walatee Charbel Shamoon

Western United can offer an update on the injury status of Ninja A-League Women star Alana Cerne and Isuzu UTE A-League Men duo Abel Walatee and Charbel Shamoon, presented by Strapit Medical & Sports Supplies.

Cerne missed last Friday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets after picking up a knock in the previous round against Brisbane Roar.

Scans have revealed the centre-back has suffered a fracture in her foot and is expected to spend the next 4-6 weeks on the sidelines.

Similarly, Walatee was absent for the Green and Black’s victory over Perth Glory last week having picked up an issue the week earlier against Brisbane.

The youngster, who has been in fine form on the wing, has sustained a minor knee injury and will likely be out for 2-3 matches.

Fellow Western United Academy graduate Shamoon has also been one of the stars of United’s recent run of form, has picked up an ankle injury and will face a similar timeline to return.

Everyone at the Club wishes all players a swift recovery and looks forward to seeing them back out on the pitch as soon as possible.
