Western United will welcome one and all to the home of entertainment in the West with the inaugural Picnic at the Pitch family day event at Ironbark Fields.

Taking place on Saturday 12 October, the event will bring the Green and Black community together for a host of activities, performances, food and football fun. A celebration of football, family and our beloved western community.

It all kicks off at 11am with the Isuzu UTE A-League Men squad taking part in an intra-club friendly, giving fans the chance to watch the group just a week out from the 2024/25 season opener.

Following that, the men’s team and the entire Liberty A-League squad will be on hand to meet the supporters for photos and autographs and the activities will be well and truly underway.

On-stage performances will create a festival atmosphere at Ironbark Fields with a variety of cultures and community groups including the Good News Lutheran College Bollywood dancers putting on a show.

Western United fans that attend on the day will have one of the first opportunities to gain an insight into the Club’s inner sanctum with exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Ironbark Fields, taking you into the changerooms, the tunnel area everywhere the players go each day.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to engage with the football community that makes the West tick with a number of junior clubs and Walking Football 4 Health Victoria setting up stalls on the day.

Snap all your happy memories in the photo booth, stay well fed with an array of food trucks and pick up your latest bits of Western United gear from the merchandise van as well as free giveaways and lots more all throughout the afternoon.

There will also be an exclusive membership offer available only to fans that attend the family day, so be sure to visit the membership team on the day and lock in your place to support the Green and Black this season.

Ironbark Fields is the home of football, fun and entertainment for everyone in the West, and all are welcome into our collective new home.
