Western United were looking to make it three consecutive wins when it took on Western Sydney Wanderers on Friday night.

Panagiotis Kone would have opened the scoring for United after 90 seconds if not for a quick-thinking Daniel Lopar save.

Patrick Ziegler broke the deadlock late in the second half for the Wanderers.

United dug deep away from home however and eventually found the equaliser through Aaron Calver.
