Western United played out a goalless draw with the Newcastle Jets on Saturday.

Despite both sides having their share of chances, neither could break the deadlock in hot conditions at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Josh Cavallo went closest for the Green and Black with a strike outside the area which was saved by Jets keeper Lewis Italiano.

United held out the final Jets’ attacks to pick up a point on the road.
