On International Women’s Day, YourLand Developments has thrown its support behind Western United to feature on the back of the Club’s Liberty A-League Women’s jerseys for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
In early January, YourLand Developments was announced alongside Johnson Controls as a development partner of Western Melbourne Group (WMG), supporting the delivery of the $2 billion sports and recreation-focused suburb in Melbourne’s west.
Growing further from that, YourLand will now directly support Kat Smith and the Western United women as they enter the final stage of the Liberty A-League season.
YourLand’s partnership displays their commitment to growing women’s sport in the West, taking centre stage on International Women’s Day.
Western United General Manager of Commercial Chris Speldewinde expressed his gratitude for YourLand’s support of the women’s program.
“It’s the perfect week to announce YourLand Developments featuring on the back of our women’s jersey. International Women’s Week is such an incredible time to share in the success of women and promote the great things that have been achieved,” he said.
“With YourLand developing our precinct in Tarneit in conjunction with the Western Melbourne Group, we are super excited to see the partnership grow to another level and we thank the YourLand Developments team for the support shown to our ALW team.”
YourLand Developments Chief Operating Officer Dean Gold commented that the partnership reflects YourLand’s commitment to supporting the social fabric of communities they build.
The YourLand team hopes that the Western United women’s team will be an inspiration to every young girl growing up in the West of Melbourne.
“YourLand Developments is delighted to support the Western United women’s team and looks forward to delivering the sporting precinct and stadium that will become their new home,” he said.
The new additions to the jersey will feature immediately as the Western United women take on Sydney FC in a mouth-watering top of the table clash on Saturday night.
United is currently sitting atop the Liberty A-League table with four regular season matches remaining and will be eager to remain in the hunt for silverware this season.
In just over a week, our girls in green will take centre stage at the opening of the Regional Football Facility, our new home in Tarneit. For more information please click here.
