Alana Cerne

22 Defender
biography-icon Biography

Alana Cerne made history for Western United as the Club’s first ever Liberty A-League Women signing. Inking her first professional deal as a teenager, Cerne took the next step on her development pathway, growing up in the West and progressing through the senior ranks at Calder United. Cerne shone in Calder’s treble-winning 2022 season and claimed the NPLW Victoria Media Player of the Year award as a result. Despite achieving that success largely as a midfielder, Cerne is naturally a centre back and will add quality and versatility into the team. Alana is a fierce ball striker with an outstanding range of passing and fiery competitiveness that will undoubtedly translate into the professional game.
