Ben Garuccio
17 DefenderBen Garuccio crossed Melbourne ahead of the 2021/22 season, leaving Melbourne City to join Western United.
The left-back joined after winning the A-League Men Championship with City, and the Adelaide native enjoyed the best season of his football career.
Garuccio accrued six assists, more than any other defender, and was recognised with a place in the PFA Team of the Season and the A-Leagues All-Stars.
The crowning moment of his season on the pitch was the spectacular scorpion kick goal against Western Sydney Wanderers, which won the Isuzu UTE Goal of the Season award.
An incredible season ended with another Championship medal around Garuccio’s next before winning Western United’s Player of the Season medal days later.
