Biography
James Donachie signed for Western United ahead of the 2023 season with a decorated career under his belt both domestically and internationally.
A three-time A-League Men Champion, Donachie had also taken his talents overseas before landing at Western United, lining up for Jeonnam Dragos in the K-League in South Korea and FC Goa in the Indian Super League.
Injury curtailed much of Donachie’s first season at Western United, but the centre-back was still able to amass 10 appearances at the end of the campaign and scored his first goal at Ironbark Fields in a 3-3 draw against Adelaide United.
Donachie’s experience and leadership make him a key pillar at the back for John Aloisi’s side alongside his defensive ability and physical strengths.
