Biography
Julia Sardo was one of the strong contingent of Calder United players that signed for Western United, but among that group she was one of a few that had played in the Liberty A-League Women before. Having lined up for Perth Glory and Melbourne City previously, Sardo brought ready-made professional experience and big-game know how to United’s inaugural team. An all-action right-back, Julia was awarded Player of the Match honours in the 2022 NPLW Victoria Grand Final with Calder having been a key player over a number of years in Mark Torcaso’s team. Defensively sound with a precise delivery of the ball, Sardo will make a return to the professional game with big ambitions in the Green and Black.
