A towering centre-back, Coveny represented Australia at Under-17 level before lining up for New Zealand in various youth internationals. Coveny’s exploits with the Junior All Whites includes a stunning campaign at the OFC U-19 Boys’ Championship, where he won Player of the Tournament and captained his side to the title, as well as a feature at the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2023.
