Melissa Taranto

16 Midfielder
biography-icon Biography

Melissa Taranto made a long-awaited return to the Liberty A-League Women when she signed for Western United alongside twin sister Adriana. Having both played for Melbourne Victory and Australain youth teams together, the twins have continued their partnership with Western United. Melissa has been one of the best midfielders in Victoria for some time, helping Calder United on its trophy-laden period of success. Slightly more defensive-minded than her sister, Mel is a master of ball retention, using her body to keep defenders at bay while intercepting and winning balls through midfield.
