Biography
Tomoki Imai has developed into a Western United icon since joining the Club during its inaugural season in 2020.
The Japanese defender has been a stalwart for the Green and Black ever since and became the Club’s all-time leading appearance maker during the 2023/24 season at Ironbark Fields.
Tomoki was named as a vice-captain by John Aloisi in that season as recognition for his impact at the Club and the respect he commands from his peers and coaches.
A pivotal member of Western United’s Championship-winning squad in 2021/22, Imai wears his heart on his sleeve and represents the Green and Black with dedication and great respect every time he steps out onto the pitch.
