After welcoming two players back into his side last week, John Aloisi will be able to do the same this week ahead of Western United’s crunch Isuzu UTE A-League Men clash against Melbourne City.
Neil Kilkenny has not played since the win against Melbourne Victory over a month ago with the midfielder now in contention to return to the side.
The No.88 has been recovering from a calf injury and will provide a big boost to Aloisi’s midfield stocks with Tongo Doumbia, Steven Lustica and Sebastian Pasquali all competing for places.
The midfield will be further bolstered by the return of Alessandro Diamanti after he missed last week’s trip to Adelaide due to a knock to his ribs.
Western United’s captain has been a key feature off the bench with his leadership and quality and the ball, and the charismatic Italian will hope to drive his team to what would be a monumental victory.
That leaves Aloisi with just about his full complement available for selection with only Connor O’Toole and Rhys Bozinovski remaining on the treatment table, while Ramy Najjarine continues to perfect his fitness.
Nikolai Topor-Stanley will play his final home regular season match for Western United after announcing his retirement from professional football during the week.
The centre-back will be hoping to extend his decorated career as far as possible with two more wins as the Green and Black chases a place in the finals.
