The Green Room on FNR is back this week and is bringing three big guests on the show to discuss a busy period for the club.
After a 2-2 draw against Macarthur FC on Tuesday night and with a match against Western Sydney Wanderers to look forward to on Saturday, the players and coaching staff are spending the week across the border for training and team bonding.
Western United youngsters Nicolas Milanovic and Jerry Skotadis will join the show from the Club’s accommodation to discuss their first A-League Men starts of the season in last night’s contest.
It was an especially significant one for Milanovic, who not only made his first career A-League Men start, but also scored his first ever senior goal when he opened the scoring 16 minutes in.
The 20-year-old had previously made 13 league appearances for United off the bench, but had a big impact when called upon from the start for the first time.
Alongside him will be close friend and fellow starter against Macarthur, Jerry Skotadis. The midfielder had a big hand in the build-up to Milanovic’s goal and looked assured in midfield.
Skotadis had already come off the bench twice this season and has made an impressive 29 A-League Men appearances as a 21-year-old.
Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis will also join the program to preview an exciting couple of months for the Club.
Today marked the launch of the 2022 Macca’s Festival of Football which will see Western United return for two Isuzu UTE A-League matches in Launceston, while a return to Ballarat is around the corner as the halfway point of the regular season approaches.
