A-League Men Championship trophy tour continues to Victoria University

Western United Champions

Since that memorable night on May 28, the A-League Men Championship trophy has been paraded throughout the West of Victoria, giving fans and Club partners the opportunity to get up close and take a photo with the famous toilet seat.

Fans in Ballarat and kids at schools and football clinics throughout the West have had their turn with the silverware, and now it is time for the university students to get their hands on it.

The next stop for the prized possession of the West is Victoria University Polytechnic (VU), Major Partner of Western United and key supporter of the Club since its second season.

The institution has supported the Club as a whole and Josh Risdon, current VU student, and continues to provide young people in the West with high quality, career-focused tertiary education to prepare students for jobs across all industries.

The Green and Black will be taking over VU’s O-fest throughout the coming week, allowing students, staff and general public passing through each campus to take a snap with the trophy.

After setting up at the Footscray Nicholson campus on Tuesday, Western United staff will bring the trophy to the Sunshine campus on Wednesday July 20.

Students heading to Werribee can catch a glimpse of the silverware on Thursday July 21 before it heads to St.Albans on Monday July 25, with the grand tour finishing at the Footscray Park campus on Wednesday July 27.

The trophy will be at each venue for a select amount of time on each day, with full details included below.

With the first-team squad back into pre-season training, sights are already set on making the 2022/23 campaign another special one, but celebrations will continue after the Green and Black made history at AAMI Park in May.
