After a fantastic December for Western United, John Aloisi and Mark Torcaso have both been nominated for Coach of the Month awards.
As well as the two bosses, Sydney Cummings and Jamie Young have been nominated for Player of the Month accolades, meaning Western United is represented in each category for December.
Two huge wins over Adelaide United and Melbourne City earned Torcaso’s Liberty A-League side a perfect record in the final month of 2022.

Late drama saw Cummings and Emma Robers both score in injury time to secure a 2-1 win over Adelaide before a Chloe Logarzo masterclass off the bench inspired the Green and Black to a 3-1 victory over City.
Those two results kept United’s perfect season going and were backed up by a fifth straight victory to begin the new year as United defeat Perth Glory last week.

Cummings’ goal on top of her sound defensive displays earned her a mention for the Liberty Player of the Month alongside the likes of Maria Jose Rojas and Melina Ayres.
Aloisi led his Isuzu UTE A-League Men team into four matches in the month of December and while it didn’t get off to a perfect start with defeat against Perth Glory, his players quickly bounced back.
Remaining calm and confident, Aloisi inspired his side to two superb wins – first over second-placed Western Sydney Wanderers and second against Melbourne Victory where United played with 10 men for over 60 minutes.
United rounded out December in the Isuzu UTE A-League with a hard fought 1-1 draw against Brisbane Roar, seeing the side within touching distance of the top six.
Young was a big part of that form across the month with 15 saves over the four games, including big stops that preserved the three points against the Wanderers and Victory.
Fans can vote for all Aloisi and Torcaso to win their respective awards and can also get behind Cummings and Young to celebrate their outstanding months.
The big games roll on for both sides with the women approaching three games in a one-week stand, while next up for the men is a Grand Final rematch against table-toppers Melbourne City.
