Grandstand finish to the season

Western United has its destiny in its own hands as it seeks to achieve an historic end to its inaugural Liberty A-League season.

The Green and Black sits on top of the table with two matches remaining and could possibly have the chance to secure the Premier’s Plate this weekend with a win and results elsewhere falling in place.

Mark Torcaso’s side has put together a phenomenal season but the work is far from over, and all sights will be set on picking up two more wins to ensure a piece of silverware enters the trophy cabinet.

It all starts with this huge clash against Canberra, the league’s most in-form team in what will prove to be an incredibly difficult match.

Team News

Mark Torcaso has been given a huge boost for the clash with both Kahli Johnson and Stacey Papadopoulos returning to availability for Western United.

Francesca Iermano is also back in the extended squad for the match as United looks to pick up a second win of the season against Canberra.
