Ballarat Superpass on sale as Western United returns to Mars Stadium

Western United Mars Stadium Ballarat

Western United will make its return to Mars Stadium in Ballarat to kick off March in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men, with the Ballarat Superpass membership now on sale for both of the Green and Black’s clashes in the coming weeks.

The Ballarat Superpass grants access to both of the Club’s matches at Mars Stadium as well as a member pack and a merchandise voucher that can be used in store on matchday or on the online store.

United is set to roll into Ballarat on March 5 for a big fixture against the Jets as John Aloisi’s men continue their assault on the top of the table.

United has won eight of the first 13 matches so far this season and is sitting pretty at the summit of the league, riding what is currently a club-record six match unbeaten run.

The side will return to Ballarat looking to build from an excellent result there last season, with a 4-1 win over Macarthur at Mars Stadium one of the highlights of United’s campaign.

Fans in Ballarat have always turned up to support the Green and Black and will be set to do so again with this the first of two huge A-League Men matches in the region.

April 2 is the date for the second match and Central Coast Mariners is the opponent, with that match set to be the Club’s final home match that is currently fixtured in Victoria before the side closes out the regular season in Tasmania.

Western United’s previous meetings with Central Coast have been high octane and high-scoring, with a particularly memorable 6-2 win for United in March 2020.

Through six meetings so far, both United and the Mariners have won three each with no draws, and another entertaining game is expected to put on a show for the fans in Ballarat.

Newcastle were a bogey team for United in its first season as the Green and Black failed to score across two defeats and a draw before turning the tables in the 2020/21 season.

Both A-League Men matches ended with Western United picking up three points last season and United picked up an extra win this season – Aloisi’s first as head coach – in an FFA Cup Play Off in November.

With these matches coming towards the business end of the season, United will be out for a lucrative couple of games in Ballarat to continue its push for silverware, and the support from the fans in the stands will help the players get there.

Sign up with a Ballarat Superpass now and join the journey with Western United this season.
