Western United will launch the 2022/23 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season at Luminare in South Melbourne on Thursday September 29.
Fans can be a part of the event too, with tickets $200 or $170 for Western United members, which includes a canape and beverage package.
Kick off the 2022/23 season at the Western United Season Launch
Beginning at 6:30pm, the cocktail-style event will serve to officially commence the 2022/23 season, in which United will look to defend its A-League Men Championship.
Attendees will hear from A-League Men Head Coach John Aloisi and watch on as the entire playing squad gets presented with their match jersey for the campaign.
This will provide an opportunity for new signings Tongo Doumbia, James Troisi and Jacob Tratt to be unveiled to fans for the first time, as well as Academy graduate Jake Najdovski.
Just eight days before the players take to AAMI Park to kick off the new season against Melbourne City, the Season Launch will take one last look at last season’s Championship and look ahead to what looms as another big season in the West.
A major part of the upcoming season will be the addition of United’s inaugural Liberty A-League Women team.
The squad is almost complete ahead of the beginning of pre-season in mid-October, with a strong mix of young talent from the West and established international superstars.
A contingent of Western United’s A-League Women squad will also be at the Season Launch and will be presented to the audience officially for the first time as Western United players.
Inaugural A-League Women Head Coach Mark Torcaso will also speak on the night about the excitement of the upcoming season and what fans can look forward to, including the Round 1 blockbuster in the West against Melbourne Victory on Sunday November 19.
DJ Vocalist Maya will provide entertainment throughout the night and guests can mingle with each other in between the formalities of the evening, which will conclude at 10pm.
