Celebrate 2021/22 with Western United Family Day at Grazeland

Western United Family Day

Western United fans will come together to celebrate the 2021/22 season at the Club’s end of season Family Day at Grazeland, Spotswood on Sunday May 29.

The Green and Black has had a memorable campaign so far with the most exciting moment to come in Saturday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men Grand Final against Melbourne City.

No matter the result on the day, this will provide an opportunity for everyone associated with the Club to come together and celebrate the year that has been.

The event at Grazeland will commence at 11am with free entry to the venue for everyone until 12pm, with the venue beginning normal daily operations from midday. Any fans that enter after 12pm will be required to pay a small $4 entry fee.

The large on-site carpark off Booker Street will be available, with plenty of parking in surrounding side streets as well.

The Western United playing squad will make an appearance on stage for a presentation to the members and fans before being available for photos and signatures during the day.

Fans can purchase food and drinks at a number of food trucks and stalls around the venue, with seating and mingling areas to come together as a Green and Black family.

Western United enjoyed its best ever season in 2021/22 with a number of records broken and outstanding moments that will live long in the memory.

John Aloisi guided the side to the Club’s highest totals in points and matches won, its highest ever finish on the league table and its first ever A-League Men Grand Final.

On the pitch, Ben Garuccio had the moment of the season when he scored an outstanding scorpion kick against Western Sydney Wanderers, while Jamie Young and Leo Lacroix were imperious at the back with Aleksandar Prijovic deadly up front.

Whatever the Grand Final result may be, this has been an amazing season for Western United and is still only the beginning of the Club’s growth and development.

Come down to celebrate with the wider Green and Black family, reflect on the season that was and get ready to go again in season 2022/23.
