Gosch’s Paddock Fan Village giving Western United family feel

Western United fans

Western United fans will have the ideal family-friendly pre-game experience ahead of the Club’s first home match of the new season against Sydney FC on Sunday October 16.

From 3:30pm AEDT, Gosch’s Paddock will turn Green and Black with games, activities and meet and greets galore for families to enjoy before heading into the stadium.

Secure your tickets and get to Gosch’s Park early

With a DJ to set the tone with some pre-match tunes, fans will be ready to look the part for the match with face painting and the Western United merchandise and membership marquees set up to ensure everyone is decked out in Green and Black.

The brand new 2022/23 Western United kits will be on sale at the Western United merchandise tent, and the Championship range will be discounted so fans can pick up any pieces missing from their collection.

United’s stilt performers will be roaming around the field engaging with fans while the popular inflatable football dart board will be back in action for kids to battle each other to hit a bullseye.

That’s not all the inflatable football fun to be had, with the blow-up football pitch to be set up allowing kids to get competitive with a quick small-sided game.

A number of Western United partners, including Responsible Gambling Victoria, will also have activations set up with giveaways on offer to fans that approach them.

Throughout it all, Western United fans and families will have the amazing opportunity to meet a number of their Green and Black heroes before the game kicks off.

Some of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men non-playing players will be available for photos and autographs, while members of the inaugural Liberty A-League Women squad will also be in attendance to meet fans and help facilitate the fun activities.

Families can soak up all of the Western United fun before the match and can also join the Championship Trophy march as it passes Gosch’s Paddock.

Led by United’s active support, the Green and Black army will walk the trophy down from Swan Street before handing it over at AAMI Park for it to be put on show and presented to the first home crowd of Western United’s season.

It all begins at the perfect family-friendly time of 3:30pm, with up to four kids going in free to the match with a paying adult and General Admission tickets behind the goals locked at just $20 each for adults and $40 for families.

For an affordable, fun and engaging weekend experience, look no further than Western United’s home opener in the A-League Men as John Aloisi’s side looks to overcome Sydney FC and secure its first three points of the new campaign.
