Round 4 squad: Central Coast Mariners vs Western United

John Aloisi Western United

John Aloisi has confirmed his extended 20-man squad for Western United’s first away trip of the 2022/23 Isuzu UTE A-League Men season.

The Green and Black will travel across the border to face Central Coast Mariners with confidence off the back of a dominant performance and first point of the season against Macarthur FC.

For the first time this season, Aloisi has not been forced into any changes as a result of injury, with just one alteration in the extended list.

After he helped the Young Socceroos earn qualification for the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan, Rhys Bozinovski has returned to the fold at Western United and is included in the squad for the first time.

The 18-year-old made four A-League Men appearances towards the end of last season – including a substitute cameo in the Grand Final – and made the first two senior starts of his career in the Australia Cup in August.

Fellow youngster Jake Najdovski comes out of the 20-man squad, while Tomoki Imai, Tongo Doumbia and Adisu Bayew remain injury absentees.
