Western United members and fans will be able to recreate last season’s Grand Final experience for Friday night’s season opener, with the club and Melbourne City updating the seating plan to have away fans behind the goals at the Olympic Boulevard end of AAMI Park.
Fans of the Green and Black can purchase tickets for just $25 into the away end and are encouraged to turn up in numbers to recreate the amazing atmosphere that was on show in May.
CEO Chris Pehlivanis says he is looking forward to seeing AAMI Park full of Green and Black once again.
“We are delighted that our fans can re-live the Grand Final atmosphere again from behind the goals,” Pehlivanis said.
“We saw in the Grand Final how important it was to seat our fans together, and we believe this is the best outcome for creating a top atmosphere.
“We would like to thank both Melbourne City and the APL for working with us on this issue and reaching a positive outcome.
“I can’t want to see the Green and Black end come to life once again on Friday night.”
Members who have redeemed an away ticket for this match will receive an email from us soon with all the information they need to know ahead of Friday.
People who have redeemed tickets will receive communication from Ticketek regarding their new seats and will be offered an F&B voucher for the price difference from the original purchase.
