The WEST turns Green and Black as Victoria divides into West vs East for the A-League Men Grand Final

Josh Risdon Western United

Saturday night’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men Grand Final will be the first all-Victorian decider in the competition’s history, and the first in Australian national competition since 1998.

Western United has ridden a wave of momentum to carve out a magnificent run to the showpiece game, while Melbourne City’s expectance of success has them on the brink again.

The game will split the state down the middle, dividing Victoria into the Green and Black of the West and the Sky Blue in the east.

Victorians must decide on which side of the state they represent, and which Club will receive their support for Saturday’s blockbuster.

Western United embodies values that are fundamental to the people and the region it represents – hard-working, humble people that never give up.

John Aloisi has taken on the responsibility of representing the West in his football team and driving the culture of the entire Club to reflect the growth of the people that make it so.

The players themselves have heeded to the boss’ message and the vision and direction of the entire Club is clear and was in no better way displayed than in the connection between players and fans during United’s semi-final second leg win over Melbourne Victory.

The West has arrived, it’s here and it’s here to stay in the A-League. The Green and Black family has only just begun, and it will continue to grow and spread across the West of Victoria.

It begins on Saturday night with this Grand Final, the opportunity for the West to triumph and for the sacrifice and support of the people to triumph against the other half.

The Western takeover of AAMI Park is coming, the Green and Black swarm is ready to take its place and say to the rest, ‘look at us now’.
