Western United A-League Men Squad: Round 13 vs Sydney FC

James Troisi Western United

John Aloisi has named James Troisi in his extended 20-man squad for Western United’s trip to Hobart to take on Sydney FC.

Troisi has missed the last three games with a calf issue but is fit to return to the side as United looks to continue its unbeaten record in Tasmania.

While Troisi comes into the team, defender Jacob Tratt comes out and will serve a one-match suspension after his straight red card in last week’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle Jets.

With the likes of Dylan Pierias and Nicolas Milanovic performing well in recent weeks, Troisi will look to compete for a spot back in the starting line-up.

Ben Collins has been promoted into the extended list and could return to the matchday squad as defensive cover with Tratt and Ben Garuccio missing, the latter remaining out with his own calf injury.

Fresh from making his 150th Isuzu UTE A-League appearance, Neil Kilkenny is set to be involved again while Connor Pain is drawing closer to becoming the first player in Western United history to reach 100 league matches in Green and Black, this looming as his 92nd.

Aloisi’s men will be eager to pick up an important three points in Hobart, with a win taking the side above Sydney on the table.
