Western United A-League Men Squad: Round 24 vs Adelaide United

Aleksandar Prijovic Western United

Western United will be boosted by two big returns ahead of its crucial Isuzu UTE A-League Men Round 24 trip to face Adelaide United.

Aleksandar Prijovic has been named in John Aloisi’s extended squad and should be fit to come back into the team after he missed last week’s match due to illness.

The No.99 will be looking to add to his five goals for the season having scored one of his best in the Green and Black shirt in the last meeting against Adelaide.

James Troisi is also back in contention for the first time in just over a month after missing the last four matches with a muscle issue.

The attacking midfielder will be eager to work his way back into the matchday squad and add to the depth at Aloisi’s disposal in the middle of the pitch.

Dylan Pierias has impressed in back to back starts while Lachie Wales and Connor Pain have both been amongst the goals and assists of late and will all be vying to start alongside the likes of Troisi, Alessandro Diamanti and Noah Botic.

Neil Kilkenny remains out with a calf problem but is nearing his return, with Rhys Bozinovski and Connor O’Toole the only other unavailable players for this contest.
