Western United A-League Men squad: Round 9 vs Melbourne Victory

Josh Risdon Western United

Western United will welcome Josh Risdon back into contention for the huge Isuzu UTE A-League Men meeting with Melbourne Victory on Boxing Day.

The No.19 has completed his suspension and returns to John Aloisi’s extended squad ahead of the Round 9 clash, with Sebastian Pasquali coming out.

That is the only change to the 20-man list as Aloisi begins to draw closer to having a full-strength squad to choose from.

Steven Lustica remains the only injury absentee as he continues to rehabilitate a hamstring strain that he suffered in Round 5 against Adelaide United, while Leo Lacroix will serve the final week of his two-game ban.

Neil Kilkenny will edge closer to 150 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances if he features. United’s No.88 currently sits on 146 matches in the competition.

Aleksandar Prijovic scored the winner last week and has netted twice in his three games this season, the Serbian hoping to start once again and repeat his semi-final heroics against Victory from last season.
