Western United can confirm it has reached a mutual agreement with Luke Duzel to terminate the player’s contract with immediate effect.

The midfielder departs having made 16 appearances for the Club, 13 of which came in the 2020/21 season.

Duzel joined Western United in September 2019, forming part of the Club’s inaugural squad in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men before being part of the Championship-winning side of last season.

As well as being a part of the first-team, Duzel played a major role in the growth of United’s Academy program.

Duzel was particularly instrumental in the 2022 NPL 3 campaign, playing 13 times throughout the regular season as United reach the promotion play-off.

He went on to score the opening goal in the play-off as United defeated Goulburn Valley Suns to earn promotion to NPL 2.

Everyone at Western United thanks Luke for his time at the Club and wishes him the very best with the next steps of his career.
