Western United ALM Squad: Round 15 vs Western Sydney Wanderers

Aleksandar Prijovic Western United

John Aloisi will welcome Aleksandar Prijovic back into the fold as his Western United side prepares to take on Western Sydney Wanderers.

The Serbian striker missed the last two games with a shoulder injury but has been cleared to return to face the Wanderers, who have historically been his favourite opponent.

Prijovic has racked up three goals and two assists in three meetings so far against Western Sydney, with United winning each of those fixtures.

Aloisi will have a decision to make whether or not the No.99 is ready to come straight back into the starting line-up, with Noah Botic remaining available.

The 21-year-old has made the first two starts of his professional career in the last two matches, leading the line strongly and providing a threat to opposition defences.

Lachie Wales is in fine form with two goals in the last three matches, and Nicolas Milanovic found the net last week for his fourth of the season, with both players hoping to have an impact again this weekend.

Sebastian Pasquali has also come into the extended squad, while United’s three injury absentees remain on the sidelines.

Steven Lustica and Jacob Tratt are both nearing their respective returns, while Ben Garuccio remains slightly longer term after picking up a calf injury against Melbourne City at the beginning of January.
