A host of Western United’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men stars offer premium options for players of a new A-Leagues Fantasy game in the 2022/23 season.
The new game will come to the APL’s KeepUp platform, allowing players across the country and the world to compete with each other for supremacy based on the real-life action in the A-League Men.

Participants will have the chance to choose a team of 15 real life A-League Men players – two goalkeepers, five defenders, fivesss midfielders and three strikers – that will earn points based on their performances on the pitch each week.
Points will be available for goals and assists, clean sheets and other important football stats such as tackles, successful dribbles and shots on target
On the flip side, players will lose points in the game for earning a yellow or red card, scoring an own goal or for being dispossessed.
Prizes will be on offer throughout the season, with the top five scores each week winning a double pass to any A-Leagues game of their choice, while the top three ranked players at the end of the season will win a share of $5,000 cash – $4,000 for the winner, $600 for second place and $400 for third.
Western United’s players feature prominently among the most expensive players in the game, owing to the team’s incredible 2021/22 season in which the side became A-League Men Champions.
Prices were determined by formulating an average points per game total for each player based on how they would have performed in the fantasy game if it were in place last season.
Ben Garuccio is the most expensive defender in the game and the sixth dearest player overall, set to cost $446,900 at the beginning of the game.
Fellow full-back Josh Risdon is the 10th most expensive player from the outset, coming in at $413,500, with both him and Garuccio set to score prominently due to their attacking output and United’s sturdy defensive record.
Aleksandar Prijovic ($367,400) and Leo Lacroix ($344,500) are premium options at either end of the pitch, while Jamie Young comes in as the most expensive goalkeeper in the game at $332,900.
As well as some top end players, United also has a host of bargain options that players might be considering drafting into their teams.
Dylan Wenzel-Halls is a very cheap $165,300, while Dylan Pierias is classed as a defender and also falls below the $200,000 mark.
Tomoki Imai could be a budget option in defence at $261,500, while Alessandro Diamanti could be a steal at $268,200.
Lachie Wales represents solid value as a forward at $282,900 and could be a commonly selected player given his price point and his pre-season form.
Players can begin filling their teams before the opening week of the season before having a maximum of 35 trades throughout the season, and no more than two trades per week.
However, five Trade Boosts will be available throughout the season, giving players the chance to make a third change in a week in which the boost is activated.
A Liberty A-League Women version of the game will also be available closer to the beginning of its season.
In addition to A-Leagues Fantasy, a new A-Leagues Tipping competitions has also been launched, allowing fans to put their prediction skills to the test and compete against their friends throughout the season.
