Western United wishes to provide an update on the injury sustained by Tomoki Imai.
In the Round 1 fixture against Melbourne City, Imai landed awkwardly on his shoulder in the first half and was subsequently substituted at half-time.
Tomoki has been diagnosed with an AC Joint injury that requires surgery. Tomoki underwent surgery on Tuesday and is recovering well. The expected period for return to play from surgery is 6-7 weeks.
