Western United Trophy Tour

The Western United Trophy Tour will reach a major stop at the Royal Melbourne Show for the next week, with big guests, giveaways and activities aplenty.

The Championship trophy has so far traversed through Woodgrove Shopping Centre in Melton and Highpoint Shopping Centre in Maribyrnong before featuring at Western United’s inaugural Family Day in Werribee last weekend.

The coveted piece of silverware will now appear at the Melbourne Show as families descend on the Showgrounds over the coming school holiday period.

While the Club will kick off this leg of the tour on Thursday September 22, superstar defender Leo Lacroix will arrive on Friday alongside new midfield signing Tongo Doumbia.

Both players will be available for autographs and photos while fans can continue to guess the number of balls in the special ‘W’ for the chance to win some spectacular prizes.

In addition to previous activations on the Trophy Tour, fans will be able to win some special giveaways with footballs for kids to perform some tricks in order to win.

Lacroix and Doumbia will be there to help the kids master some skills to win as many prizes possible while sharing the silverware around with all of the fans at the Show.

Young gun Nicolas Milanovic and star midfielder Neil Kilkenny will follow up on Monday September 26, with both sets of players present at the activation for one hour from 2-3pm.

More player appearances will be locked in for next week with the Green and Black stars continuing to lead the Trophy Tour heading into the final two weeks of pre-season.

The Melbourne Show is better than ever before in 2022, with kids aged 14 and under receiving free admission and all-new attractions and events set to make this year a Victorian celebration like no other.

As well as meeting the stars of Western United, patrons can take in everything that the Show has to offer and make it a spectacular day out with family and friends over the school holidays.
