Western United will kick off its 2021/22 A-League season with a blockbuster clash against Melbourne Victory. John Aloisi’s first competitive match in charge of the Club will be held at GMHBA Stadium in Geelong on Saturday November 20, kicking off at 7:45pm AEDT. In a landmark moment for the club and for Australian football, the clash will be shown live on Channel 10 as the A-League moves into a bright future with the new deal with ViacomCBS.
Western United has added Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park to the 2021/22 home ground roster alongside Ballarat, Geelong, and Launceston. In a pivotal move for United, seven home matches will be played at Lakeside Stadium, which was selected after a rigorous search for the best solution. The search was for a Melbourne venue that would provide a great experience for fans and showcase the very best football product for broadcast purposes, especially given the A-League’s new TV broadcast agreement with Network Ten and Paramount+.

Western United’s new Kappa home and alternate kits for the 2021/22 A-League season are now available for pre-order. United launched their new kits today ahead of what promises to be an exciting year on and off the pitch. The home kit once again features green and black stripes, with a seamless transition to the black shorts and socks. United will wear a predominantly white kit on the road with graffiti-like green and black stripes down the middle, which reference the club’s traditional stripes in a modern, youthful interpretation.
