First ever A-League Men match at Morshead Park

Having previously played a friendly there, Western United will take to the Morshead Park pitch for a competitive game for the first time.

In fact, this will be the first ever A-League Men match at the venue, showcasing the best football venue that Ballarat has to offer.

The regional football facility plays host to Ballarat City in NPL 3 and will host a professional game for the first time.

Special suburban football experience for fans

Western United fans will be able to experience football in Ballarat like never before at the purpose-built facilities at Morshead Park.

A stand along the side of the pitch will house Premium and Platinum members while all other areas of the ground will be available for general admission.

The Western Service Crew will take up a place behind one of the goals and all fans can get a great vantage point from grass hills on the side of the pitch, or get up close with the action along the fences.

The canteen will be open and there will be food trucks on offer at the game as well

Western United looking for unbeaten Ballarat stint

Western United is delighted to be able to bring this extra game to the passionate and boisterous fans in the Ballarat region.

Since season one, Ballarat has been a major part of the Western United family and the supporters in the region have always turned up in good voice for the team.

United picked up an important win in an entertaining game against Newcastle Jets at Mars Stadium in March and added another point to its tally last weekend against Central Coast Mariners.

John Aloisi and his players will be hoping for another win to complete an unbeaten stint in Ballarat for this season, heading into the pointy end of the campaign.

Chances to win big pre-game and at half-time

As has been the case at both games at Mars Stadium this season, the first 200 patrons through the gates at Morshead Park will receive a free McCafe Coffee Voucher.

On top of that there will be a special Western United giveaway, so get into the ground early for the chance to win big.

And at half-time, one lucky fan will have the chance to win $1,061 in the 61 Design Kick To Win competition.
