John Aloisi has confirmed his extended 20-man squad for Western United’s home opener against Sydney FC on Sunday.
The Green and Black will be out to bounce back from defeat in Round 1 and will be spurred on by a home crowd for the first time.
There is one change to the 20-man list from last week’s match, with Tomoki Imai forced out of the side due to a shoulder injury.
The Japanese defender underwent surgery to repair the issue in his AC joint and is expected to return to the pitch in 6-7 weeks.
Imai’s omission means Ben Collins comes into the extended squad for the first time this season. The young centre-back made his first senior start in the Australia Cup during the off-season after debuting in the A-League Men in May.
